On April 30th, at the Java-island in Amsterdam, Armin van Buuren will
perform a special set for the new crowned King and Queen of the
Netherlands, Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima. Together with
the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, he will perform during the
‘koningsvaart’, a special, cultural boat-trip in the city of Amsterdam.
Armin and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra are now discussing what
music they’ll be playing.
Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima aren’t new to Armin’s music. During a visit to New York in September 2009, they rocked to Armin’s set at Governor’s Island, witnessed by thousands of visitors. Since a few years back, the future Queen of the Netherlands has been a patron of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
The ‘koningsvaart’ will start at 19.00 at the Eye Film Institute in Amsterdam-Noord and ends around 20.30 at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ.
