Be At TV or b@TV

Be At TV is an online global community connecting clubbers and electronic music fans with big-name DJs, venues and festivals.

Also known as 'b@' and 'b@TV'. It was launched in 2009 by Ray Smith and Damian Mould.

Be At TV primarily broadcasts sets by prominent techno and house DJs, as well as other genres across the electronic music spectrum, from some of the world's most famous nightclubs- such as Space, Pacha and Boho in Ibiza and Ministry of Sound in London- as well as events including Creamfields, Tomorrowland, Winter Music Conference, Bestival, Global Gathering, The Big Chill and South West Four.

The be-at.tv output is marked by high quality, full-length footage which is shot from four camera angles, including exclusive camera access from the DJ booth. The different camera shots can be viewed simultaneously on the be-at site's interface. The sets are then archived for members to watch on-demand, and can be accessed through any PC or laptop with a high speed internet connection (1MB +).

The website combines aspects of social networking, web-based radio and music television. Like on facebook, members create their own profile, fan groups and image galleries. They can also use video tagging to share content with other users on the site or by exporting the clips into blogs or other social networks.
The site's content is free to its users; it is funded by interactive advertising from youth and fashion brands such as Southern Comfort and Calvin Klein.

Be At TV is supported by acts including Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg, deadmau5, Sander van Doorn, Dubfire, Tom Middleton, Ferry Corsten, Chicane (recording artist), Benny Benassi, Dave Spoon, Mark Knight, Tiefschwarz and Groove Armada. It is also supported by festivals and venues such as the Winter Music Conference, International music summit, Bestival, Space (Ibiza nightclub), Pacha, Creamfields, Ministry of Sound.

The community is still in beta and is reporting an average of 1,000 new members per week with visitors from the UK, US, Asia, the Middle East and throughout Europe. The site currently has monthly figures of over 780,000 unique visitors per month, with an average viewing time of 17:36, making it the highest-trafficked dance music community in the world.

It was selected as a Top 100 website of 2009 by PC Magazine and has received attention from press, trend spotters and bloggers.

It has also appeared in national media outlets Times Online, The Guardian and electronic dance music publication DJ Magazine.
